Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign Results
Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Holiday DUI and Seat Belt enforcement campaign from mid-December through January 1. This traffic safety campaign was funded by federal safety funds through IDOT's Division of Traffic Safety.
The Police Department conducted an additional 30 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target intoxicated drivers. Oone motorist was charged with driving under the influence, one motorist for driving while license suspended and there was also one drug-related arrest. In addition, police issued nine citations for speeding violations, one citation for an insurance violation and 18 traffic citations for other moving or non-moving violations.
Bartlett Police Department also conducted an additional 20 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target seat belt violations. Police issued 14 traffic citations for seat belt violations and two citations for speeding violations.
