National Night Out 2017

The Village of Bartlett would like to invite you to its 24th annual National Night Out celebration. Your participation is sure to make this year’s National Night Out a huge success. Here are the free scheduled events during the 2017 National Night Out celebration:

 

National Night Out Twilight Skate Park Bash
Friday, 7/28, 6 to 10 p.m. at Bartlett Skate Park

The Village of Bartlett, Bartlett Park District and Bartlett Fire Protection District will be hosting their free, annual Twilight Skate Park Bash at the Bartlett Skate Park to help kick off the National Night Out celebration. Kids and teens are invited to skate from 6 to 10 p.m. while listening to music and interacting with members of the Bartlett Police Department and the Bartlett Fire Protection District. A limited amount of free food and beverages will be provided.

 

National Night Out Family Fun Night & Pool Party
Friday, 7/28, 6 to 8 p.m., Jensen Pavilion & 8 to 10 p.m., Bartlett Aquatic Center

Bartlett Police Department, Bartlett Park District and Bartlett Fire Protection District would like to invite you to participate in the free National Night Out Family Fun Night at the Jim Jensen Pavilion from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy free face painting, a speed pitch competition, bean bag toss games, a football toss, a balloon twisting artist and build-a-kits. The REMAX hot air balloon will be making an appearance. Free raffle tickets will be given out for a chance to win a ride in the hot air balloon. The Bartlett Fire Protection District will be bringing out a fire pole and a fire house activity, teaching fire safety. A limited amount of free food and beverages will be provided. Afterward, watch the glow of the hot air balloon and join the walk to the Bartlett Aquatic Center for the free National Night Out Family Pool Party from 8 to 10 p.m. A limited amount of free root beer floats and glow sticks will be provided.

 

National Night Out Community Blood Drive/Prescription Drug Drop-off/School Supplies, Canned Food and Willowbrook Wildlife Center Drive
Saturday, 7/29, 8 a.m. to noon at Bartlett Village Hall

The Village of Bartlett will be hosting its 4th annual National Night Out Blood Drive in conjunction with the Village of Bartlett’s monthly prescription drug drop-off from 8 a.m. to noon. The Village will also be collecting canned food and school supplies to donate to Hanover Township, as well as collecting items to donate to the Willowbrook Wildlife Center. The blood drive will be held in the room just outside the Village Hall council chambers. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment with Heartland Blood Centers by visiting www.heartlandbc.org and clicking on the Donor Portal and Online Scheduling System or by contacting Heartland Blood Centers at  1-800-7To-GIVE.

National Night Out Block Party & Neighborhood Lighting Competition

aturday, 7/29, 3 to 9 p.m. Village-wide

Bartlett Police Department and Bartlett Fire Protection District will be visiting all of the participating block parties to determine the winners in the following categories: Best Lighted Neighborhood, Best Overall, Best Participation, Best Theme, Most Spirited, Most Charitable and Rookie of the Year. All block party competition winners will be announced at the National Night Out Picnic in the Park on Tuesday, 8/1.

National Night Out Putt, Chip, & Drive Crime Out of Bartlett Golf Skills Competition
Sunday, 7/30, 1 p.m., Bartlett Hills Golf Club

The Village of Bartlett will be hosting its 3rd annual National Night Out Chip, Putt & Drive Crime Out of Bartlett Golf Competition at Bartlett Hills Golf Club on Sunday, 7/30 at 1 p.m. T-shirts and awards will be given out. Hotdogs, chips and water will be provided to all participants. Pre-registration is required at the Pro Shop 630-837-3230.

 

24th annual National Night Out "Picnic in the Park"
Tuesday, 8/1, 5 to 9 p.m., Bartlett Park

Enjoy a special evening at Bartlett Park with the Village of Bartlett, Bartlett Park District and Bartlett Fire Protection District. This award winning community event is scheduled to include: free food and water, giveaways, local business displays, a watermelon eating contest, face painters, a balloon twister, an inflatable slide, a dunk tank, golf & archery skills exhibits, panning for gold and special appearances by the Beauty & the Beast characters, Chicago Blackhawk Vinnie Hinostroza, the NNO Mascot Nat the Knight, the Chicago Bulls Mascot Benny the Bull, 501st Midwest Garrison Star Wars characters, the Jesse White Tumbling Team, the Oscar Meijer Mobile, the Mix 101.9 FM Road Crew, Division BMX Stunt Team and Skydogz.
