The Village of Bartlett requires anyone wishing to operate a device by which sounds are magnified and made heard over any public street or public place, e.g. a band or DJ at a party, obtain an amplifier permit from the Village.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Print out the Amplifier Permit Application. Fill out the application and sign it. Have the property owner sign the application if necessary. Applications for events being held on Bartlett Park District property will need to be submitted with Bartlett Park District approval.

Return the completed application to the Community Development Department along with the $15 fee.
Checks may be made payable to the “Village of Bartlett”.

Permits are issued at the Community Development Department for applications requesting an amplifier
between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M., Monday through Saturday. All other applications must have
Bartlett Village Board approval.

Applications requiring Bartlett Village Board approval must be received at least one week prior to the
Bartlett Village Board Meeting in order for the application to be placed on the agenda.

Bartlett Village Board Meetings are held on the First and Third Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 P.M. It is
recommended that the applicant attend the Village Board Meeting to respond to any questions that may
arise. You will be notified of the date of the Village Board Meeting.

If the application is approved, the permit will be mailed to you or you may pick it up from the Community
Development Department at Bartlett Village Hall the day following the Village Board Meeting.
