Independence Day Traffic Safety Campaign Results
Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Independence Day DUI enforcement campaign from Monday, 6/25 through Sunday, 7/8. This traffic campaign was funded by federal safety funds through IDOT's Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering.
The Police Department conducted an additional 30 hours of specialized traffic enforcement to target intoxicated drivers. Police officers charged one motorist with aggravated driving under the influence, one motorist with driving under the influence and two motorists with driving while license suspended. Police also made one drug arrest and issued 17 citations for speeding violations, six citations for insurance violations and 10 traffic citations for other moving or non-moving violations.
