LEGAL NOTICE - REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Village of Bartlett will be accepting sealed lump sum bids from signage contractors for the New Police Facility Interior Signage 3 p.m. local time on Wednesday May 16, 2018. Sealed envelopes or packages containing bids shall be addressed to Deputy Chief Geoff Pretkelis and plainly marked “BID PROPOSAL FOR INTERIOR SINGAGE - NEW POLICE FACILITY” on the outside of the envelope. This is a phased project with Phase I being completed in May 2018. The second phase will be completed for occupancy in December 2018.
The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept the bid from the lowest responsive and responsible bidder which is in the best interest of the Village of Bartlett. All bids are to be in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, and be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond equal to 10% of the bid amount. As part of their bid, bidders will be required to provide costs for furnishing a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each in the amount of 110% of the Contract Sum.
The contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Village will consider all factors which it, in its sole discretion, deem to be in the best interest of the Village. While price is important, past experience and ability to timely deliver the Signage on schedule are also important considerations. No bid will be considered unless the bidder shall furnish evidence satisfactory to the Village Board that the bidder has the necessary facilities, abilities, experience, equipment, financial and physical resources available to fulfill the conditions of the Contract and execute the work, should the Contract be awarded such bidder
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all federal, state, county and local laws, regulations, ordinances, rulings, or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the Work or the project. Without limiting the foregoing, the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under a contract for this Project, shall comply with all other requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12), and shall engage in non-discriminatory and equal opportunity employment practices.
Sealed Bids will be received until Wednesday May 16, 2018 until the hour of 3:00 p.m. and then, at that time, publicly opened and read at:

Bids received after closing time will be returned unopened. Bids delivered in a manner other than that provided in the Instructions to Bidders will be considered non-conforming and will be rejected. The public opening is for information only, and is not to be construed as acceptance or rejection of any bid. Award to the successful bidder will be made within thirty (30) days following bid opening, and bids may not be withdrawn during this period.
